Unlock segment rights for specific translators

    Hello Sarah,

     

    you can create a new profile for your vendors which will be exactly the same as for all translators except one setting where you specify that they can lock/unlock segments in the Editor.

    1.Go to "Settings"

    2. Find "Access Rights" option and click "Configure".

    3. Add new profile

    4. Select the profile to which the one you are just creating will be similar to and click OK.

    5. Click "Edit" to edit your profile

    6. Look for the right shown in the below screenshot and make sure it is enabled

    7. Assign this profile to vendors who needs the right to unlock/lock segments

    Yes, but this is only useful for new accounts, right? I would have to create new accounts for existing translators as you cannot simply switch an existing users profile to a new one.

    I believe a much simpler solution is to allow more granular customization of existing accounts to, as I mentioned, modify specific translator profiles, from specific vendors, and change this one access right. Or be able to switch from one profile to another.

    No, you can apply new profile to existing accounts as well.

    1. Go to your user account and click "manage logins"
    2. Select the login

    3. Click "Edit login/profile"
    4. Select desired "User profile" from the list at the bottom of the page

    5. You can change/switch this setting as much as you like

    Sorry, I wasn't clear.

    We have suppliers (vendors), for example, that have 300+ users or "People & Logins", for each of their translators.

    So, while it is possible to change it for the supplier profile, it isn't for their individual user profiles, which is what I want.
