File name contains an apostrophe.

Problem:

user is unable to download the final file, has carried out checks, got no errors but still getting an Operation failed message.

Solution:

check if the name of the file does not contain an apostrophe. If yes, this can cause troubles during finalization process.

To fix it, the file has to be renamed in order to remove the apostrophe, mark it online once again, and then downloading the file will become possible.

Usually we learn that we can't download the file after finalization so our document is already translated and we probably don't want to translate it all over again.

That is why we should translate the document using memory. We export the memory from this project and import it into new project where we upload our problematic renamed file, everything will be pre-translated from our memory.

To export and import the memory follow below guidelines.

Export :

• Go to Resource => Project Memories
• Search your project
• Select it
• Click on export and select TMX file

Import :

• Go to Resource => Translation Memories
• Select Import new translation memory from file
• Import your TMX file

Add it to your project :

• Go to your project => Project Settings => Resources
• Click on Add
• Select your memory and add it to your project

You then just have to mark the file for no translation, and mark it online again.
