Downloading comments together with translation.

Question:

I wanted to ask if there exists a possibility to download a translated file together with its comments. We are looking for a possibility to download our proofreading comments together with the translated file, ideally in a separate column e.g. in an Excel file. In theory you can embed comments to a segment or cell within the translation window, unfortunately these embedded comments cannot be found in the downloaded file. I'm not sure if I don't understand this function correctly or if it is not working as intended.

Answer:

You can export the comments of the translators with multilingual Excel.

Unfortunately you cannot do that with monolingual Excel.

A workaround would be to export the project memory to Excel as the comments are included in the export.

Go to Resources and View contents

Click Export

and choose Excel as export format
