What’s the best way to exclude sentences/paragraphs in a source Word file ?

  In this case you can just create Styles on MS Word (see screenshot).

  Then go to “Settings” > “Document formats” > “Microsoft Word” > “Add new” and type the name of the style in the "do not translate field" (see screenshot).

  When marking the file for online translation, you’ll need to select this configuration in the “Text Extraction rules” (see screenshot).
