Extracting comments from .POT files and display in editor

Question received via a support ticket:

I want to set up a project for a new .pot translation. However, I want the reference text to be displayed in the Comments for each translation segment so that the Translator can look at the reference document and see the context for the translation segment.

For example if I want to translate the words “Image Library” from the .pot file I can see that there are two ID locations for this text

#: manage:17
#: manage:55
msgid "Image Library"
msgstr ""

Can I get this reference ID text to appear in the Comments for every segment so that the translator will know which reference document to look at for help with context or is there another better way to get this information to the translator?

  In the POT filter settings page, there are options to choose whether and which comments shall be extracted and displayed in the translation editor:
