Uploading file format configurations
Hello,
when we are in Settings > Customisation > Document formats, it is already possible to download each file format configuration as a .config XML file.
However, I couldn't find an option to upload a previously downloaded .config Document format file back into the system.
Our problem is that we have many customised Excel file formats configurations, as we have to create practically one configuration for each project due to clients' specific files and requirements.
We would like to be able to archive our old file formats configurations to declutter our Wordbee workspace (avoiding a 50-item drop-down list when selecting file formats for translation), while still being able to easily reupload and reuse the old configurations if needed.
Do you know if / where the "Upload file format configuration" option can be found?
Thanks in advance

Hi Aurelie,
You are right there is no possibility to re-upload the configurations. We had added the feature to install configurations to our Beebox product. That it can be used for archiving configurations is really a new use case we were not aware of.
Although we cannot do this in the short term due to so many other things to develop, we will seriously considering adding this.
For the time being you might want to rename archived configurations, e.g. by prefixing them with an "x" like in "x-config....". As such the archived ones move to the end of the list and selection might be more easy in the dropdown.
Thank you for your post,
Kind regards,
Stephan

Hi Stephan,
thanks for your reply earlier, and for considering the "upload configuration" feature for future developement.
In the meantime, we'll be following your suggestion to rename old file format configurations with a prefix letter, this makes the selection a bit easier from our side during projects.
Thanks again for your support,
Kind regards,
Aurélie

Hi Aurelie,
This feature has been released. The upload link is available in the document formats page:

(Click on "Settings", click a file format and you see the new "Upload new" link.)
