Column Manager alert not working properly
AbgeschlossenHi,
We have seen that every time you open a new project in the old editor, an alert on the columns layout pop ups even if the project column configuration (defined by the PM in the Workflow & Suppliers step) is set.
Can you confirm if there is any bug in the feature? Is there any way to disable this alert in the settings?

Thanks!

Hello Julia and Jessica,
Sorry for our late answer. This is indeed a new feature that we have implemented a couple of weeks ago. The main objective is to prompt users to use a recommended layout instead of their current column configuration which was set by the project manager. This allows the user to keep using the column configuration of his choice while reminding him that another layout is proposed which is likely more optimal for the current task.
There is still room for improvement for this feature however. For instance, we plan on changing this popup to show up only if the current column configuration is different from the one currently set in the editor (thus making this popup much less likely to show up).
We don't plan on adding a setting to deactivate this popup. Although, we hope that this change will make it much less likely to appear. We hope to have this improvement available in the upcoming weeks.
Kind regards,
Alex

Hi Support,
I also see the same message every time when I use the new editor in this week. I guess this is a few feature? How to turn it off?
Kind regards,

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your answer.
How do project manager set the default columns shown in the editor? Is it in in project details?
Kind regards,
Jessica

Hello Jessica,
A project manager can set the default columns in the project settings. See the screenshot below :

By clicking on the link, this will open a popup window prompting which columns should be used for this type of job :

From there on, every document marked online for translation within this project will ship with this suggested column configuration and prompt to use this new layout:

I hope that this answers your questions.
Kind regards,
Alex
