    Hi Carole,

I am not sure to have understand your problem, the column content is not editable and you can not add a new comment from it.

An user can create a new comment only from the timeline component.

    Have a nice day,
    Mikael

    Hi Mikael,

The content is indeed not editable, but in the timeline widget you still have the possibility to add comments associated to the read-only column.

We use workflows with backtranslation. We have a reviewer whose job is to compare the backtranslation against the source and revise the target if needed. The reviewer needs to see the source (locked), the target (editable) and the backtranslation (read-only). We want to prevent him/her from adding comments associated to the backtranslation.

We want all comments available in the timeline without changing the language pair each time, and we also need all comments available in the same revision report.

I hope this is clearer? Thanks for your help!

    Kind regards,

    Carole

    Hello Carole,

I'm sorry, but I still fail to understand what you mean exactly. Here's what I understand so far: you're in a back-validation job where the available languages are "English" and "English (v2)" (for example), and you should not be able to add comments on the "English (v2)". Is my assumption correct?

    Kind regards,

    Mikael

    Hi Mickaël,

That's correct. We need to prevent our suppliers to add comments to the "English (v2)" [the read only column].

    Best regards,

    Zmorda on behalf of Carole.
