Very slow performance, cluttered interface, multiple bugs

Hi,

— The new editor is significantly slower than the old one on my very fast (2,9 GHz Intel Core i9, 32 GB RAM) Macbook Pro with good connection, both in Safari and Chrome (latest versions). It takes time for those new pop-ups to pop up, and the initial loading takes time, as well as switching between pages (everything loaded instantly in the old editor).

— I can’t place cursor with trackpad/mouse between markup tags, only with arrow keys; when I copy a word and paste it between tags, spaces get added around the word (they weren't there in the first place).

My work now takes significantly more time which is really frustrating and I'm wondering is there a way to get back to the old interface? Or, at least, to disable those pop-ups that clutter the editor?
