We have two little but powerful features:
1. A Alt-I keyboard shortcut to insert inline tags without using the mouse.
2. The possibility to freely format text in bold, italic, underline even when the original text is not formatted. It works with Web Pages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Indesign, Framemaker
In the example below I translated a segment into French. I would now like to format the words "les traducteurs" in bold.
First, press Alt-I and all available formats show up:
Then select the bold format by either pressing the number printed left to bold ("1"), or by using the Up/Down/Enter keys. A double click has the same effect - if your mouse is still nearby ; - )
Done!
Tips and comments:
- You can change Alt-I to a different key combination by clicking on the "Preferences" button in the menu bar.
- Free formatting currently only works when translating web pages. We will add this feature to Word soon.

Hi Brahim,
Whenever Alt-I is used, the pointer is thrown back to the beginning of the segment. This makes the shortcut quite useless as using it requires more time that dragging the tag from the source text. Is there a possibility to keep the pointer set where it was before copying the tag?

Having looked into this for you, unfortunately, we have been unable to replicate this issue on our end.
For example, when you click at the start of the second word in a segment and use Alt + I and click on the tag you want to insert, the text cursor should go to the end of the tag.
If the problem you are experiencing persists, I would suggest that you submit a ticket so that we can look into this further for you.

We wonder if there is a way to insert tags in the source text too. Our Insert tags option is greyed out.
