Here at Wordbee we are always looking for ways to improve our users experience while translating on the platform and with this we understand the importance of having the correct configurations when excluding certain content from XLIFF files. This is why we are happy to announce that we have updated and improved our XLIFF filter.
This update means that users can now not only exclude certain segments from a translation based on a word or a phrase, but they can also leave out segments based on standard XLIFF attributes and by using comments.
So users can ask Wordbee to only translate segments with a specific identifier, for example, to translate only segments whose “id” contains the word “Note”. Alternatively, users can specify in Wordbee to never translate segments if they contain “ignore” in the comments, which enables the XLIFF author to easily make segments non-translatable.
To configure your XLIFF file format in this way all you have to do is go to Settings > Translation Settings > Document Format Profiles > XLIFF Files.
This advanced filtering option makes Wordbee’s file format customization engine even more powerful and one of the most customizable on the market for content extraction.
