INDD file shows too many superfluous tags after import.

Problem:

When user marks the INDD file for translation there are tags everywhere, even between letters.

 

Worth trying:

Open the file and resave it. Usually it is a problem which was produced in the production phase of INDD file but resaving might help.

  I agree, in general the amount of tags in INDD is immense, much more than any other translation tool. I'd love to see a more user friendly way of displaying (or eliminating) tags in INDD and even Word for that matter.

  For INDD files there no any options in the filter itself designed to remove excessive markup. Feel free to submit a feature suggestion about it:
