New Editor - Timeline - Unknown user
CompletedHi team,
The source segment is shown in the Timeline as the first "revision" of translation and the name of translator is " unknown".
Also, if the source segment is combined from two or more segments, there will be a second unknown user's revision in the Timeline.
Our translators find these revisions in source language very confusing.
We like the new editor but we prefer the way translation revisions shown in the old editor.
Would it be possible to provide an option in the system settings to control how the segment revisions are displayed?
Kind regards,
Jessica Liu

Good afternoon Jessica,
I am glad to inform you that we added an option in the parameters in order to see only user revisions.
These changes will be deployed next week.
Kind regards,
Florent.

Hello Jessica,
thanks for your remarks.
I am not sure if I understand your remarks.
Would you be able to describe in more detail or submit a ticket if necessary?
All the best

Hi Wojciech,
Let me explain.
In New Editor > Timeline tab > Revisions, the first translation of the target segment is always the source segment, not a human revision, and it's done by "unknown" user.
Also, if this segment is merged by 2 or 3 segments, the second revision will also be in source language by "unknown" user.
Our translators understand these are automatically generated. But these "revisions" are not displayed in the old editor. We prefer that only revisions done by human translators are shown in the Timeline.
My suggest is to provide an option in the system settings to hide revisions that are not provided by human translators?
Best,
Jessica

Got it Jessica.
Thanks. I am going to recategorize your post to category "New Editor" so that our New Editor specialists can have a closer look into it.
Since New Editor is still in Beta phase each suggestion and comment for this is much appreciated. Thanks for contributing.
