Exporting translator comments along with the translation file

Is there a way to export comments made in the editor? I see there is a tickbox in a multilingual excel to save comments back : 

 Save translators' comments back to the final translated Excel document (this requires configuring comments columns above)

 

But this does not seem to work. How can we best extract/download comments made in the editor and download along with the translated file. Ideally in a separate columm
