Can we have the project number automatically fill the "Quote number" field in the quote? It is always better to have both the same.

  Yes I agree it should be same. It can be helpful as an easy identification.

  This is a great idea to auto-populate the Quote Number field with the Project Number when creating a new quote. This ensures consistency between project and quote references. I would like to suggest if in case customization Options may be available for users to allow users to override the auto-filled value if a different quote number is needed/required.
