Suggestion - Flexible multilingual Excel files
Hi,
While it is very useful to be able to setup multilingual Excel files, what would be even better is if Wordbee can do this flexibly.
Like, set up a rule that:
Put English in Column A (or something other), and then the rest of the languages, each in its own column. Maybe also add an option to add a comments column after each language.
This way you don't have to create a separate configuration for each language combination.

Hi Leon,
We actually do. :) Have you had a look at this video?
http://www.wordbee.com/resources/video-tutorials/multilingual-excel-files/
These types of configuration are easy to set up in "Settings" > "Document formats" > "MS Excel"

This configuration I already know.
What I'm talking about is a development of this capability. So that Wordbee automatically creates a multilingual file, according to the project - without me defining the template beforehand.
For example, if I have a two projects:
- source is French, and the targets are German and Spanish
- source is English and the targets are Italian, Portuguese and Arabic
So, I only create one *flexible* configuration, where I tell:
- Put the source language in column A
- Put the target language in the columns next to A
So, for the first project I'd get:
A - French
B - German
B- Spanish
And for the second one:
A - English
B - Italian
C - Portuguese
D - Arabic
And all this using one configuration.

Hi,
Adding something else to Leon's suggestion... The Document Format Configuration would ask...
- for the Column to read the Source Text
- the starting Column to write the Target Languages text
- (if defined) row to place the language code for source and target languages defined above.
This is much elegant than reserving a specific column for each language, where Client should have the source text in Column J and Target Languages in Columns F, Z and AC, meanwhile comments could be in Column B.
Regards,
Antonio
