Hi,
Does anyone know how to prevent Google Chrome from wanting to leave the page when you hit the Backspace key? Happens often when I select something, then hit Backspace to delete the text. Sometimes it just results in an error page, which you have to close, then you have to reopen the translator window.

This is a really good question, unfortunately I'm unaware of any way to disable this function as it has been designed to be a keyboard shortcut for the back button.
However, there are software downloads and apps that you can find online that should help you with this.

You can download BackStop from the Chrome store, however, as we haven't tested this on our side and this isn't something we have developed, I cannot provide you with any guarantees or recommendations that it will provide you with the solution you need.
There appears to be plenty of information about it so, I would suggest that you take a look at some of the reviews and articles and then make a decision whether you want to download it or not.

it could be solved in Wordbee itself. I had this issue in the editor, maybe only fix it there? See (among other solutions)

But i'm not sure about this. Backspace is default /standard browser behaviour. People may use it intentionally.

I installed Backspace means backspace! 0.0.0.2. Now instead of the page going to previous screen (actually it just loses all your editing), a window comes up asking you if you would like to leave the page. This is for Chrome.
Not a perfect solution, but the only thing I've found so far. Bug only happens when WB is searching the DB for a match and has not finished loading the page.
