Enquiry re adding jobs to workflow in Codyt Project after job has begun – parallel work

Hello, I have the following issue: I have started a larger project involving translation, revision and third party review. When I set the project up, i have divided the translation jobs into several parts for the same translator. Now a reviewer is joining in, reviewing parts of the translated bits whilst they are progressing. Would i need to subdivide the translation job further into smaller portions, in order to mark them as completed so the reviewer can start reviewing and has the final translated bit available, whilst the overall translation job isn't finished yet?

Is it possible to introduce such changes or does a new project has to be set up from scratch, and the translated segments imported via the translation memory?

  Good morning Daniela,

  thanks for the question.

  Not sure if I understood your question correctly.

  Hence let me summarize what I have understood:

  1. You have a document to be translated and revised.

  2. Document is being uploaded to Wordbee and marked for online translation.

  3. You'd like to translate and review the document by parts so that reviewer does not have to wait until the whole translation job is finished.

  If above is true then indeed the best way is to split translation and revision job into as many parts and assign them to suppliers. This way once first part of translation is finished reviewer can start reviewing the first part immediately.

  If above is not true let me know please in detail what kind of a workflow we are talking about.

  Thank you, Wojciech,

  Despite my unfortunate formulation of the question, you managed to understand what I meant. I have now learnt how to divide the larger document into adquate job portions in order to being able to tick translation jobs off as "completed" and passing them on for "revision" and so on, whilst further sections of the document are still being translated... excellent!
