Our desktop publisher supplier wants to see the schedule for translation and review tasks. This enables them to plan for the work. However, at present our "Proofreader" cannot see all the tasks in the project. What is the best method for enabling this--besides giving them internal company access rights.

Demizu Sachiyo Andy,
We have a setting to allow external workers to have access to the planning section. Would that be sufficient or are you looking for something else?
This is for the supplier company. (There is no bars displayed since I am using a test company that only has old jobs.)
They can click the open job name to see the job details.
(Usually, this page shows the supplier name and bars as well)

Andrew Jones Thanks for the tip. It is ok as a workaround but we would like something simpler--that the vendor sees when she looks at jobs.

Andrew Jones Hi again, What is the setting? Thanks, Andy

Demizu Sachiyo Andy,
I checked the access right page and noticed that it involves multiple setups.
In our current setting, our desktop publisher vendor can already see the planning tool shown in my previous post. All they have to do is to click Planning - Open jobs.
If the vendor needs to see jobs assigned to the company in addition to his own jobs, I believe the following option must be selected.
If the vendor do not have access to the top navigation menu, those options (only appropriate ones) must be selected. In our settings, all of those options are selected.
Regards,
Sachiyo

Andrew Jones Thanks! I'll check it out.

Andrew Jones Hmmm. I tried that but do not see all the jobs pertaining to each file, only the one assigned to the external manager. There also seems to be a limit of 100 jobs that can be displayed in Open Jobs.
It would be nice to have a simple way to do this without revealing confidential information.

Demizu Sachiyo Andy,
All I can do here is telling you what we can do and what is our current setting is, based on the limited information you provide. If the feature I mentioned does not work for your need, please wait for other people's response and suggestions.
Regards,
Sachiyo

Andrew Jones Thanks.
FYI, this was very nicely resolved by Wojciech's suggestion to change a setting in the email notification that shows when the previous job is scheduled to be completed.
