Can more segment information be shown? Everyone is always asking for more details about the original translation, who edited that translation, what was changed, and so on.

Mikaël Hell Hello Andrew,
With the new editor, you can manage the displayed columns so you can show many information on the source and/or target language like the revisions, the comments...And when you click inside a cell, on the right part of your screen, the component "Properties" must be updated.
Have a nice day

Andrew Jones Hi Mikael, That is good to hear but actually I cannot follow how to set it up. When I look in the column editor, I do not see a place to turn on revisions, comments. Also, when you mention a cell, what cell are your referring to? Timeline? This is very important and so I want to get it right. Thanks, Andy

Alexandre Ronin Hello Andrew,
Allow me to provide a more detailed explanation
1. Adding comments/revisions cells
You can open the column manager using this menu right here:
This will open a popup window where you can select which columns you'd like to display. From there, you can scroll down to the locales you're interested in and show their comments or revisions :
This will result in displaying the following information in the main grid :
The contents of these cells may be cropped. You can see the full contents by clicking in each cell. This will display all relevant information, like this:
2. Checking segment's properties
When you click inside any cell in the main grid, you can refer to the "properties" widget that you can activate through here :
This will activate and show the properties widget, which will show all relevant information based on the cell on which you have just clicked :
I hope that this answers your needs. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Kind regards,
Alex

Andrew Jones Thanks, Alex! The Revision and Comment fields did not show up on my window, but I found them thru the Search field. I will try this out. Can the same information be shown in the Timeline window? That's where we were looking for it.

Alexandre Ronin Hi Andrew,
In the new translation editor, there is a more clear distinction between with the timeline and segment properties panel. The timeline is purely for getting segment's history information through revisions, and for seeing comments done on the document or on the segment whereas the properties panel gives more detailed information without having to resort to displaying additional columns in the main grid.
I hope that this answers your needs. Please feel free to ask if you require further information or assistance.
Kind regards,
Alex

Andrew Jones One quick note--the Revision column also shows the current translation (when there was no previous one). If only revised translations can be shown I think it will be more useful. Put another way, showing data that is already shown in the target (or source) column does not seem so useful.
