Editor - Autocomplete (conflict with Tab key)

Hi,

 

Does anyone know that the Tab key is conflict with entering a translation in the Autocomplete list when this function is enabled in the new editor?

 

As shown in the screenshot, if I use the Tab key, I will enter the first hit in the Autocomplete list, rather than the Tab as I need.

 

 

2 possible solutions:

1. Click on the target segment box and the autocomplete list is gone, and then use the Tab key.

2. Disable autocomplete.

 

Since there are many tabs used in the source text, I think it would be better if the tab key is not used to enter the hit of autocomplete.

  Hello Jessica,

  Indeed, I can understand why this behavior is happening in your case, but I don't believe that this should be changed. The same could be said for example when the source text has many line breaks ; the autocomplete feature will prefer adding a suggestion instead of creating a line break.

  The best solution in my opinion to add a tab or a line break when autocomplete suggestions are displayed is to hit the "Escape" key prior to this. This will close the suggestion list and allow you to hit Tab/Enter without any conflicts.

   

  We're still open to suggestions if you believe that this behavior can be improved. I hope that in this solution will suit your needs in the meantime.
