Hi, We have a situation where one of the "inhouse" staff is actually an outside vendor. He needs to see more things than the standard vendor, and so has the inhouse status. However, we do not know how he can see the quote we make for him, even though it is "can view". Is there a way for him to see this?
Right now, I export it to Excel and send it by email. It is not very convenient and can lead to mistakes.

hope you are fine. I am not sure here what exactly you are doing and what exactly is not working as you expect.
For now I understood that you expect to see your Company prices somewhere while assigning job internal worker but the prices for internal worker are defined in his profile and those are used.
A bit confused. Can you show step by step what you expect and why?

thanks for posting the question.
It all depends on the rights you worker has in this section
the only thing here that if an inhouse supplier is meant to be treated as outside worker you do not want probably to give him too many rights since enabling those rights for inhouse worker gives an ability to see not only his quotes but others as well.
So, it is up to you but if I were you and would like to limit the view of finance information for this very supplier and the same time give him ability to perform some inhouse worker actions I would set him up another real external worker profile and assign his jobs to this account.

Hi again, Similar problem--but this time, the inhouse translator works for another part of the company, and so we need to pay him. However, when I try to set the price, nothing shows up (only supplier pricing). How do you show inhouse (My company) prices when an inhouse translator is used?
As background, we set up pricing for the language combination but I cannot find how to use this pricing information after I assign a job inhouse.

I set up a price for ENG->JPN translation for inhouse translator. I assigned the translator to a ENG->JPN translation, and want to see the estimated cost. When I assign an outside supplier, the cost appears automatically. When I assign an inhouse person, it does not. Also, when I go to Counts and Costs, I cannot set a cost. No options are available. So, there is no way to see how much we would pay this internal translator. I need to know how to find out how much we would pay them. Andy

I figured it out. I didn't realize setting a per/word price for an inhouse worker automatically applied the discounts set for the entire company. It works.
