Unwanted automatic revisions of perfect previous version translations
AnsweredHello all,
I imported a bilingual xml document which had been expanded in the source language, so it needed the additional segements translated. What I found as that many of the original translations (marked with a blue triangle pointing right, named perfect previous version translations) were automatically replaced by "Exact pre-translations" without me having a chance to prevent this.
(In this case it did not matter, but it once replaced the contents of a product with the contents of a different product...)
How can I influence this behaviour?

Here is another instance of such automatic revisions that is a bit more problematic because it replaces the correct translation with the translation of a different segment from a different context. The source text is identical but because the text in target language is longer the target text can at times be different.
Full Title: Welcome Area -> Wunderbarer Willkommensbereich
Abbreviated Title: Welcome Area -> Willkommensbereich
I blurred part of the text, but I think it's clear why I want to get more control of this behaviour.

Good morning Daniel.
Thanks for posting the question.
May I ask for the detailed step by step process with screenshots in order to try to reproduce it. You might prefer to share in a ticket.
Have a blessed day.
All the best

Thanks Wojciech,
I'll write a ticket.

Wojciech,
for the sake of completing this public thread, I thought I should add the solution we did find: Checking "Count already translated segments as pre-translated" at the "Word count" stage suppressed the uncontrolled behaviour. (See screenshot) Reminder that this was a bilingual xml document.
