Any way you can improve the new editor so this no longer appears? Saving should happen in the background and there should be no chances of data getting lost due to user action (need saving function to work flawlessly and unobtrusively).

I see your point.
I have discussed this however with new editor developer and it seems like as for now we will not be able to fulfill your requirement.
It is very much resources consuming and it is not our top priority right now.
5 seconds interval is the shortest autosave interval we have right and we do not offer instant autosave feature as in Google Docs.

Mike Holland Hi Wojciech, I don't want to see this message (attached). You use Google Docs sometimes, don't you? All saves are done in the background. You never see any messages like this. And everything is saved automatically. I'd like something like that.

Mike Holland Hi Wojciech, Thanks for the info. Well, it was worth a try. So the current workaround is to set the save interval to 5 sec. That does improve the phenomenon a bit.
