Disappearing translation (segments - target text)

Hi there,

When I merge/split segments in the new editor, if I have translated the 2 segments already, the target text for both disappears and the text has not been saved in concordance for easy recovery/retranslation. In addition, the target text in the segment above (unrelated to the merged/split segments) also disappears. (and is also not then displayed in concordance, which means I have to translate that segment again, too).
This has happened in several jobs before as well.

  Good afternoon Dominique,

   

  I've been investigating the issue and we think of two possible cases.

  - You loaded the page, all segments were translated already, you split and all segments translated before you arrived on the job disappeared.

  - You translated segments one after the other, without the autosave activated, it never saved your changes, and you then applied a split, which loaded all segments, without saving anything and you lost your translations.

   

  Please, is it possible for you to tell us whether you are in one of these cases?

  Hi there,

  With the autosave deactivated, I translated each segment one after the other, then I translated one segment and noticed it would be better if I joined this one segment with the next one, so I merged them. The top sentence of the 2 merged segments disappears, as does the unconnected sentence above that one (it happens every time I merge a segment).

  Good morning Dominique,

   

  Thank you for your reply, it was really helpful.

   

  We have been investigating the issue and this is a normal behavior, however, if you decide to split or to join, we decided that a pop up asking you to save should be displayed, to ensure that translations are not lost in the process.

   

  

   

  The fix has not been deployed yet but it will be next week. In the meantime, ensure that you translations are saved before splitting or joining a segment.
