Simultaneous tasks in Codyt project
Problem:
In a Codyt project, we’re going to have 2 Validation tasks performed at the same time by 2 distinct validators.
So basically, we need to be able to have 2 tasks running simultaneously in the workflow.
Solution would be to manually change the status of the second task to ‘In Progress’ in order to have 2 ‘active’ tasks at the same time.
How to automate this in case we have too many files to deal with this manually? Is it possible to automatically kick off these tasks with the relevant notifications?
Answer:
It is not possible to automate this and not possible kick off tasks with relevant notifications.
The only workaround here is to change the status to In Progress in a batch like on a below screenshots.

Hi Wojciech,
If one does not need to "stick" to the "validation" task type, but is open to use the "proofreading" task type instead, we have created a new pre-set workflow for CoDyt which aims kicking off two simultaneous proofreading steps after one translation step.

It can be found under "Settings" > "Workflow & suppliers" > "preset workflows" and will require the multi-column function available in the new editor (currently in betâ mode).

Kind regards,
Brahim
