Copying source text to target

Dear Wordbee,

a question about the translation interface:

if for example in my translation there is a formula that does not need to be translated, but needs to be copied into the deliverable, what is the correct way of doing so?

I can click the segment number to change it to red and upon delivery state to include these untranslated parts. However then I am not sure how many untranslated segments are intentional and which ones are mistakes. However if I change to green; untranslated by intent, it will -not- get copied into the deliverable.

Or should I simply copy-paste a segment? (is there a quick-button to do so)?

  Hi,

  Yes, there's a quick button to do so.

  Simply, leave those segments empty until the translation is finished, and then click on :

  "Actions" > "Copy All" on top of the editor page. (see screenshot "Capture")

  You can also do it per segment by clicking on "Copy source text to target" (see screenshot "Capture2")

  Hi Caroline,

  Yes, you can apply the "copy source into target" function on all filtered segments.

  First use the "action" button to filter, as per your example, segments with a red status, and then the copy all function.

  Any actions undertaken using the "action" button is always applied on filtered segments.

  I actually meant the opposite: after using the copy source into target function, can you revert the action? Can you empty filtered segments?

  Hi,

  I was wondering if we can do a batch task to copy source to target for a specified range of the segments.

  Scenario,

  Suppose I have 500 segments already translated now but as the client changed the scope I want to perform action copy source to target from segment number 311 to 450.

  Is it doable?
