Settings for PO files

Dear Team, 

I have a .PO file that needs translation. However, the Default settings in Wordbee Translator extract the text for "msgid" for translation, while the client requires us to translate the text for "msgstr".

I cannot define this in the settings (it appears). Please let me know how we extract the correct text for translation.

  I have in the meantime found out that Studio 2014 has the same issue. So I guess the problem is in the files the client sent?

  Yes, the PO specification says that "msgid" (or "msgid_plural") is the source text and the translation will be saved to "msgstr". Wordbee will read out both and show them in the respective source and translation columns in the editor.

  The only solution, next to ask the customer for a corrected PO, is to use find/replace in order to revert "msgid" and "msgstr" labels in the file (requiring 3 find/replace operations).
